GLR Bacchus

GLR Bacchus, is the true black son of our 5 time Color Champion, 3/4 Accoyo Young Felipe, and his true black mother, Peruvian Desiree. His pedigree on his sire's side includes the likes of Rockstar, Torbio, Rene, Ramillo, Maria and 4P Peruvian Susurro, and on his mother's side, Magnifico, Renzo, and a true black mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We specifically bought Desiree with the intention of breeding her to Young Felipe, with the hopes that her true black genetics would come through on top of the excellent fiber characteristics of Young Felipe. We were not disappointed. Bacchus was barely six months old when he first stepped into the show ring at the 2009 AOBA Nationals where he took a 3rd in the true black juvenile class and was third at the AAA 2010 Futurity. He turned two in the fall of 2010 and we expect his first cria late fall, 2011. He is proud and upright, with excellent lock, luster, and coverage, a beautiful head, beard and great bone. Another plus on top of his colored pedigree is that he has no MacGyver blood! Stay tuned for offspring  reports from this young true black herdsire.
